Queens Man Dies After LI Motorcycle Crash: PD
Police say the man was injured almost three weeks ago.
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. — A 37-year-old man died Tuesday after being injured in a crash on Oct. 3, Nassau County police say.
The man has been identified as Queens resident Kwabena Awuku, police said. Awuku was injured when his motorcycle collided with a turning box truck, police say. Department officials said was hospitalized in critical condition after the crash and pronounced dead Tuesday night.
According to detectives, Awuku was operating a 2003 Honda Motorcycle northbound on Lincoln Avenue and collided with a 2021 Ram box truck being operated by a 46-year-old male southbound on Lincoln Avenue, making a left turn onto South Forest Avenue, police said.

The 46-year-old driver of the box truck has not been identified, and an investigation into the crash is still ongoing, police said.
