RVC Home Care Aide Arrested for Theft
23-year-old allegedly stole money and valuables from seniors she worked with.

A Rockville Centre home health care aide was arrested on Saturday for allegedly stealing cash and jewelry from clients she worked with, officials said.
According to Nassau County Police authorities, Ashley Minnis, 23, was employed by A Better Home Health Care — a Rockville Centre based company — between November and December of 2009. Minnis was assigned to care for a 58-year-old disabled woman in Oceanside, and police said she stole cash and jewelry from the woman's home. Between July and November 2009, Minnis was assigned by the same agency to care for an 82-year-old Franklin Square woman, and it is alleged that Minnis also stole money and jewelry from that woman.
On Dec. 9, 2009, while working at Manhasset Diagnostic Imaging, Minnis allegedly stole a wallet with money and personal papers from a patient's unattended handbag.
