ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — That time of the year is upon us when the Village of Rockville Centre conducts its first of two seasonal hydrant flushing.

The Water Department will work on the hydrants from April 10-16. It is done to ensure the hydrants are up to the standards for firefighters and maintain the water quality for residents and businesses.

During the flushing program, customers may experience a slight drop in water pressure or temporary water discoloration. Although it is safe to drink, it may stain laundry.
