Homeless & Hungry Inc is hosting the second day of the 26th Annual Empty School Backpack project today at 910 Boston Post Rd. in Rye with a goal of providing 2,000 new backpacks, each filled with 18 school items for grades K through 12.
Volunteers are needed today from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. to fill empty school bags.
Community service hours are available to students who request a form.
