The City of Rye has launched "Engage Rye," a new online platform accessible through the city website. This platform provides a centralized hub for information and public engagement on select city projects. Each project page features organized documents, relevant City Council meeting videos and agendas, Q&A sections, maps, and project timelines. Critically, Engage Rye facilitates organized and accessible public comment, monitored 24/7 using a combination of human and AI moderation to ensure a respectful and productive dialogue.

As previously presented to the City Council, the initial project featured on Engage Rye is the Rye Arts Center Zoning Petition. Residents are actively using the platform to submit feedback on the proposed zoning change. Internally, this system streamlines communication by eliminating the need for staff to manually compile and distribute emails to the Council and staff. All relevant documents are now readily accessible to both the public and the Council.
