City Of Rye Reminds Dog Owners To Curb And Leash Their 4-Legged Companions

In addition to creating health hazards for others, those who don't follow the rules could be subject to fines of up to $200.

The City would again like to remind residents that dogs must be on leashes that are not more than 8 feet in length. Please clean up after your dog and do not put waste in the sanitary sewers or drains. These laws are so important in our city parks, fields, and playgrounds.
Fines for each offense are up to $200.
