1. Susan Epstein to be appointed to Rye Brook Village Board

Epstein, a Rye Brook mother very involved in the community, will be appointed at the next village meeting to fill mayor-elect Paul Rosenberg’s empty trustee seat, for which no one ran in this year’s election.

3. Happy Passover

Passover starts Monday, March 25 and ends Tuesday, April 2. The religious festival celebrates the deliverance of Israel from the bondage of the Egyptians.

4. Geodes Exhibit Debuts in April

The Rye Arts Center's "Nature's Art: Geodes" exhibit will be on display at the RAC from April 16-May 24. The exhibit will feature more than 200 geodes from around the world. Read more here.

5. More Snow in the Forecast

The National Weather Service forecasts snow before noon today, and then rain adn snow between noon and 3 p.m. with more snow after 3 p.m. And the snow will not melt too quickly. The high for Tuesday will be around 45.

  • Monday: Snow likely before noon, then rain and snow between noon and 3pm, then snow after 3pm. High near 39. Breezy, with a east wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 37 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
  • Monday Night: Snow likely, mainly before midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 30. North wind 11 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.
  • Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Northwest wind 8 to 10 mph.
