Increase in Reports of Parties This Graduation Weekend

Police received an increase in complaints about loud parties this past weekend compared to other weekends. Rye High School seniors graduated on Saturday, June 15. Β Β (The police blotter does not indicate that the complaints were related specifically to graduation parties).
Here is a list of the noise complaints from June 14, 15 and 16:
A loud party was reported in the area of Apawamis Club on Midland Avenue and Intervale Place on June 14 at 11:25 p.m. Police found the area to be quiet when they responded.

A loud party was reported on Grandview Avenue on June 14 at 11:31 p.m. The party was ending for the night when police arrived.
Loud music was reported in the area of Franklin Avenue and Sonn Drive on June 15 at 8:42 p.m. The homeowners said they would turn down the music. At 11:04 police discovered the music was still playing and then the DJ turned off the music for the night.

A loud party was reported on Park Place on June 16 at 1:19 a.m.
A cottage Street resident reported that cars were blocking his driveway on June 16 at 6:53 a.m. The cars were ticketed.
Illegally parked cars and loud music were reported on Locust Avenue on June 15 at 8:55 p.m. Police discussed the situation with parties present.
