Leaf Blower and Construction Noise Complaints in Rye

Construction in violation of the city ordinance was reported on Drake Avenue and Glen Oaks Drive on April 25 at 7:12 a.m. Workers were advised of the 7:30 a.m. start time in the city.

Construction noise in violation of city code was reported on Wappanocca Ave. and Highland Road on April 25 at 8:22 p.m. A company was drilling and police advised them to shut it down for the night.

Construction in violation of city code was reported on Drake Avenue on April 27 at 8:37 a.m. Police advised the workers of the city code.

Construction prior to 10 a.m. was reported on Greenleaf Street on April 27 at 9:12 a.m. A summons was issued.

Multiple Leaf Blowers

A report of multiple leaf blowers in use was reported on Rye Beach Avenue on April 27 at 1:19 p.m. Police advised the users of the city code.

Police received a report of city code violations for leaf blowers in the area of Milton Road on May 1 at 10 a.m. Police observed no violation.
