A message from the City of Rye: Due to the severe heat, the City of Rye will provide access to City Hall, located at 1051 Boston Post Road, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. from Tuesday, July 16th through Friday, July 19th.
The Rye Free Reading Room is open on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Westchester County Health Department issued the heat advisory and residents are advised to avoid strenuous activity and to drink plenty of non-alcoholic, non-caffeinated fluids. A list of stay cool locations is available on the Westchester County website (www.westchestergov.com)
If any resident or business loses power they should contact Con Edison directly at 1-800-75-CONED.
