White Plains based Titan Construction Group was finishing up the last of their repair work on Playland's boardwalk last week, an employee said.
The county awarded the company a $2 million bid to repair the south boardwalk.
Most of the boardwalk was repaired in time for the parks opening day on May 11, but sections closer to the pool were closed on certain days of the month to finish repairs.
Titan used the Brazilian wood Ipe, which can last more than 30 years and is more fire resistant than standard wood. It had not yet been determined if the north boardwalk, completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, will be rebuilt.
