The Town of Brookhaven Planning Board gave the OK to a $100-million Farmingville housing and retail project that has been delayed for several years.

First introduced in 2013, the 292-unit Arboretum project is designed to generate economic growth in Farmingville and is expected to be completed in four years.

According to officials, the project will include apartments, single-family homes, a park, community center, restaurants and offices.
