2 Charged In Massage Parlor Raid In Suffolk: Police

The pair were released on appearance tickets returnable to First District Court at a later date, Suffolk police said.

CENTEREACH, NY — Two women were arrested during a massage parlor raid at New Day Spa in Centereach Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The women included a 42-year-old from Centereach, who was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession, and a 26-year-old from Brooklyn was charged with prostitution, a misdemeanor, according to police.

Brookhaven Town issued multiple violations and condemned the building as unsafe, police said.

The raid took place at around 3:30 p.m. after numerous community complaints, according to police.

The operation included 6th Precinct Crime Section officers, as well as Brookhaven's building inspector, fire marshal, and town investigator, police said.

Both women were released on desk appearance tickets and will appear for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date, according to police.
