FARMINGVILLE, NY – A 22-year-old man was struck and killed by a car in Farmingville Saturday night, police said.
Daniel Fehringer, of Farmingville, was in the roadway on Horseblock Road when he was hit by an eastbound 2017 Toyota Prius near Waverly Avenue at about 10:20 p.m.
Fehringer was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver, a 47-year-old Selden man, was not injured. No criminal charges have been filed.

The Toyota was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
