3 Sisters Hospitalized After LI Car Crash: Police
Three sisters were injured and hospitalized after a car crash involving a Jeep and a Ford on Long Island, Suffolk Police say.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — A two-vehicle crash seriously injured a driver and her two sisters on Long Island Sunday morning, according to Suffolk County police.
Police said Jesilynne Bauer, 20, was driving a 2010 Ford Focus southbound on Ronkonkoma Avenue, when the vehicle collided with a 2021 Jeep Gladiator traveling eastbound on the Long Island Expressway South Service Road around 6:30 a.m.
Bauer and her two passengers, Brooke Bauer, 19, and Madysen Bauer, 16, all of Centereach, were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the Jeep, Jay Perez, 27, of Shirley, and his passenger, Elizabeth Gutierrez, 54, of Shirley, declined medical treatment at the scene, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.
