Up To $5K Reward Offered For Info On Deadly Drive-By Shooting Of Long Island Man: Police
Photos of the involved vehicle, a gray BMW four-door sedan, were released in hopes of generating new leads in the case, cops say.

RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police are offering an up to $5,000 fast cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the drive-by shooting that killed Terry Long in Ronkonkoma in 2022.
Deputy Commissioner Kevin Catalina joined the mother and son of Long, during a press conference at police headquarters in Yaphank on Tuesday as part of the department's efforts to highlight unsolved cases for National Crime Victims’ Rights Week.
The department is using the week to highlight unsolved cases like Long's.

"As members of law enforcement, it's our job and responsibility to seek justice for crime victims and their loved ones," he said. "We count on the men and women of the Suffolk County Police Department to accomplish that goal. But they can't do that without the trust and support of our most important ally. "
In the announcement, Catalina released photos of the involved vehicle, a gray BMW four-door sedan, in hopes of generating new leads in the case.

Long, 32, had been preparing his son to go to school and had gone outside to warm up his car when he was shot dead.
Long's mother, Teresa Sexton, said her grandchildren are suffering without their father.
"Please if anybody knows anything, please say something," she said. "My grandkids are suffering really bad because that that is not here with them anymore, and I'm begging you to please if you know something, say something."
