90-Year-Old LI Man Kills His 90-Year-Old Wife in Murder-Suicide

RONKONKOMA, NY – A 90-year-old man shot his 90-year-old wife to death and then killed himself inside their Ronkonkoma home Thursday morning, Suffolk Police said.

Valentin Hernandez called 911 at about 10:10 a.m. and said he shot his wife in their home at 294 Breezy Ave. When Fourth Precinct officers arrived, they found both Hernandez, and his wife, Dorothea, with gunshot wounds.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene by a member of the Lakeland Fire Department.
