Arson Investigating Fire At Holbrook Business: Police

No one was hurt, Suffolk police say.

HOLBROOK, NY — Arson detectives are investigating a fire that broke out at a business in Holbrook on Saturday.

The fire started at the Church Street business at around 6:45 a.m., according to police.
No one was hurt in the fire, police said.

Officials told News 12 that as three different businesses were damaged, including a snake breeder's.

Suffolk Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Chief Roy Gross said he notified the Department of Environmental Conservation about the snakes.

Patch has reached out to the DEC for comment.

It was one of three fires that detectives are probing from over the weekend.

The fires include one at a home in Shirley in which one person was hurt on Saturday, and another at a home in East Setauket.
