BROOKHAVEN

A Bellport man reported being struck by a vehicle that left the scene without stopping on Montauk Highway in Brookhaven, police said. The man told police he was struck at around 6:20 a.m. on April 23, and then took himself to local hospital to be evaluated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
CENTEREACH

A Coram man was arrested after police say he threatened someone with a pair of scissors at a location on Middle Country Road in Centereach on April 21, police said. The man 20, was charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon, a misdemeanor.
FARMINGVILLE
A Farmingville woman reported discovering an unauthorized transaction on her bank account for over $3,000 on April 23, police said. The woman told an officer that she found the transaction after sending a check out.
HOLBROOK
A motorist reported being hurt after having their vehicle struck by another that left the scene at the intersection of Express Drive South and Patchogue-Holbrook Road in Holbrook at around 4 p.m. on Saturday, police said. The person was taken to Stony Brook Hospital Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The incident has been classified leaving the scene of an accident with an injury and not reporting.
MASTIC BEACH
Two homes were burglarized on Saturday on Cranberry Drive in Mastic Beach, police said.
In the first burglary, someone climbed through the window of a vacant home, and swiped a dishwasher and a microwave at around 3:30 a.m. In the second, a window in the rear of the house was accessed to remove an oven at around 10 p.m. No arrests have been made.
MEDFORD
Firefighters responded to the scene of a small fire in a dumpster just before 2 p.m. on Christopher Court in Medford on Monday, police said. The fire was extinguished, and there were no injuries reported.
OLD FIELD
A home on Crane Neck Road in Old Field was accessed by an unlocked door, and a resident's wallet and keys to a resident's BMW were swiped, then the vehicle itself, early on Sunday morning, police said.
RONKONKOMA
- A pilot notified the tower at Long Island MacArthur Airport that someone was aiming a laser pointer at the planes at around 9:10 p.m. on April 22, police said. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident. Further information was not available.
- Someone smashed the front window of a business on Raynor Avenue in Ronkonkoma at around 3:30 a.m. on Friday and made off with two E-bikes.
- A driver ran a red light and then refused to stop for an officer at the intersection of Ocean and Johnson avenues in Ronkonkoma on Friday afternoon, police said. The officer attempted to pull the driver over, but they kept going and sped away from the scene. The incident has been classified third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer.
