Suffolk Town's Holiday Spectacular Returns To Ecology Site

The proceeds will help feed and care for the 100-plus menagerie of wildlife including a Bald Eagle, an American Buffalo, and a Bobcat.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — The Brookhaven Town Holiday Spectacular will return to the Holtsville Ecology Site on Dec. 3.

The indoor, walk-through light show is designed as a winter wonderland of festive displays that lead up to Santa Claus in his workshop where families can take photos.

The show will run Dec. 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 16, 17, and 18. It will open 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturdays; and 5 to 8 p.m. on Sundays.

Admission is $10 per adult; $8 for seniors, veterans, and children under 12. Children three and under are free. Photos are available with Santa for an additional fee.

The show benefits the site, helping feed and care for the 100-plus menagerie of wildlife including a Bald Eagle, an American Buffalo, and a Bobcat, that call the place home.

Superintendent Dan Losquadro called the show "a fun-filled, affordable entertainment option for families who want to come and enjoy the spirit of the holidays."

“I want to thank my staff at the ecology site for working so diligently to transform the greenhouses and make this event so memorable," he said. "Over the years, walking through the holiday spectacular has become a wonderful holiday tradition for many families.”
