Morning, Sachem! Here's everything you need to know to get this Sunday started off right.

A man was hit by a car and seriously injured in Centereach. The driver of the stolen pickup truck who killed a Medford resident in October was found to be under the influence of cocaine. And a Centereach man was in two car crashes before being arrested for DWAI on Friday.

  1. Peggy Spellman Hoey reports that a man was struck and seriously injured by a car in Centereach on Friday night on Middle Country Road near Hammond Lane in Centereach at about 5:50 p.m. (Patch)
  2. Patch tells us that a Blue Point man tested positive for cocaine after his pickup truck crashed into a car killing a man last month. Robert Hengeveld, 50, was driving a stolen 2004 Toyota Tacoma on Long Island Avenue in Holtsville when a Suffolk police officer tried to stop him on Oct. 19. He then crashed into and killed Starlin Manuel Diaz Felipe, 19, of Medford. (Patch)
  3. A 23-year-old Centereach man was charged with driving while impaired and leaving the scene of an accident after he was in two car crashes on Friday. Matthew Decoursey was involved in a crash with another vehicle on Express Drive South at Patchogue-Holbrook Road at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. He left the crash scene and then struck a sign on Patchogue-Holbrook Road at Furrows Road. He drove away and was later arrested in Holbrook. (Patch)
