Detectives Believe Driver Shot At With BB Gun In Road Rage Incident On LIE: Police

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — A man was shot at with what detectives believe is a BB gun in a road rage incident on the Long Island Expressway in Lake Ronkonkoma on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

A man was driving a 2018 Chevrolet pickup eastbound on the Long Island Expressway at around 8:40 a.m., when another driver, a male in a Honda Civic with tinted windows, fired what detectives believe to be a BB gun into the rear driver’s side window of the Chevrolet, according to police.

The Chevrolet driver, who was alone, was not hurt, police said.

The 4th Squad in Smithtown is investigating.
