Artist Joan Lengyel, who has painted many of Long Island's classic movie houses, will share the history of these theatres at Sachem Public Library on September 22 at 2:00 p.m. The main street theater is an icon of any town and has been integral part in local historic culture. Ms. Lengyel's discussion will be accompanied by a slideshow presentation of her theater paintings. During the presentation you will be welcome to share your movie-going memories.
