Fire Ravages Historic Newton's Garage In Lake Ronkonkoma

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY – A massive fire tore through Newton's Garage in Lake Ronkonkoma Thursday afternoon. The nearly 100-year-old building at the corner of Portion Road and Ronkonkoma Avenue went up in flames shortly after 12:30 p.m.
The building was the home of Sam Auto Repair. Several fire departments battled the flames and thick black smoke from the blaze could be seen for miles.
It's unclear at this time if anyone was injured.
