Former LIer Police Say Husband Stabbed To Death Described As 'Beautiful, Loving' Mom

GoFundMe tribute says the 5-months' pregnant woman, stabbed to death 2 weeks shy of her 30th birthday, "wanted the best for her babies."

LONG ISLAND, NY — Samantha Garnier, the former Long Island mom who police say was stabbed to death by her husband upstate, was described as a beautiful, compassionate, and loving mother in a touching tribute on a GoFundMe page.

"It is with a very heavy heart that we share the news of Sammi going to heaven," wrote Erin Leahy. "Sammi was a beautiful, compassionate, and loving mother who always wanted the best for her babies."

The page features a photo of Garnier smiling with her daughters, all three donning winter ski caps.

State troopers responding to a call for a domestic dispute at a Masonville home, found Garnier, 29, inside with stab wounds, and despite efforts to save her, she died along with her unborn child, and her husband, Drew Garnier, 32, has been charged with murder, police said.

The couple's two daughters — a nine-and a six-year-old — were also stabbed, but are expected to make a full recovery, according to police.

Leahy described Garnier as being "taken" from her loved ones, "leaving two beautiful girls behind."

Donations collected in the GoFundMe will go to the two little girls "who will now have lost both of their parents," Leahy said, adding, "Any donations and prayers are greatly appreciated for this family during this tragic time."

She ended the post addressing Garnier by her nickname, "Sammi," writing, "We all love you so dearly, and it breaks our hearts that God had other plans for you."

"May your soul forever be at peace Samantha Jean," she concluded.

So far, the page has raised $16,305 out of its $25,000 goal.
