Habitat For Humanity To Collect Coats And Books In Ronkonkoma
Clothing will be collected Tuesday at ReStore and books on Dec. 6.
RONKONKOMA, NY — The Middle Island-based charity, Habitat for Humanity of Long Island, will collect gently-used clothing items and books for the next two Tuesdays at its Restore location in Ronkonkoma.
A Santa Paws and clothing drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of America will be held Tuesday, followed by a book drive to benefit The Book Fairies on Dec. 6. Both events will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The organization has joined with Marcum LLP and The Agency as part of a Giving Tuesday fundraising campaign, in which the two sponsors will match any charitable contribution dollar-for-dollar up to $20,000 to help support Habitat’s mission of building "safe, affordable homes for deserving families," according to a news release.

Marcum offers tax, accounting, and assurance services, while The Agency is a global, boutique real estate brokerage that represents "a portfolio of properties across the world's prime markets and celebrated destinations," officials said.

Habitat for Humanity of Long Island's ReStore is located at 2111 Lakeland Ave., Ronkonkoma.
ReStore has extended its store hours to 8 p.m. each Tuesday starting Nov. 29 until the end of the year to make evening shopping hours for customers.
