Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Long Island
The latest details on multiple snow threats this week.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Long Island.
"Light rain changing to light snow, and temperatures dropping to freezing early Thursday morning could make for a slow and hazardous Thursday morning commute," the weather service said.
Snow is likely to be falling during the entire Thursday morning rush hour commute, according to the hour-by-hour forecast.

Less than an inch of snow is expected to accumulate, but untreated roads could become snow covered or even icy as temperatures drop below freezing.
There's about a 20 percent chance of more than an inch of snow accumulation, according to weather service snow prediction maps.

A weekend snowstorm remains on the table, but plenty of uncertainty remains at this point.
"Most of the time when there is a fresh injection of cold air associated with high pressure that builds across New England, a major storm follows for the Northeast," AccuWeather Chief On-Air Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said.
The weather service, which says the latest long-range models take the weekend storm out to sea, is currently calling for a 40 percent chance of snow late Friday night into Saturday.
