Holiday Light Show Returns To Holtsville Ecology Center

The light show benefits the more than 100 rescue animals that live there.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — The Brookhaven Town Holiday Spectacular, an indoor, walk-through holiday light show benefiting the both furry and fuzzy residents of the Holtsville Ecology Site, returns on Dec. 2.

Over the years, thousands of families have walked through the winter wonderland of lighted displays, before stopping to take their photos with "Santa Claus" in his workshop.

Admission to this event is $10 per adult and $8 for seniors, veterans, and children under 12; children 3 are admitted for free.

Photos are available with the big guy himself for an additional fee, but only credit cards are accepted. All proceeds go directly to the feeding and caring for more than 100 rescue animals that reside there, including an American Bald Eagle and a Eurasian Lynx.

The show will run Dec. 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17; hours on Fridays and Saturdays are 5 to 9 p.m. and Sundays, 5 to 8 p.m. The Holtsville Ecology Site is located at 249 Buckley Rd. in Holtsville.
