The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department recently visited Lynwood Avenue Elementary School to present the Say Hello Program as part of the Sandy Hook Promise. The program is designed to increase the comfort in saying hello to new people and making new friends to ensure that no one is left out.
As part of the program, students learned new ways to say hello and learned about identifying different feelings one may encounter throughout the day.
