Man Arrested After Reports Of Shots Fired In Farmingville

A 25-year-old man faces drug and weapons charges.

FARMINGVILLE, NY – A 25-year-old man was arrested after police responded to his Farmingville home for a report of shots fired Monday afternoon, police said.

Sixth Precinct Patrol officers responded to 16 Spruce Circle at 12:30 p.m.

Following an investigation by the Sixth Squad, Michael Arellano, a resident of the house, was charged with first degree reckless endangerment, prohibited use of a weapon, seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a firearm.

Arellano was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip Tuesday morning.
