Man Arrested After Suffolk Hit-And-Run Crash Kills Woman, 37: Police

She died Wednesday, police say.

SELDEN, NY — A man was arrested Thursday after a hit-and-run crash killed a woman in Selden Wednesday, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, Lan Huynh Truong, 44, was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash. He is being held at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.

The pedestrian, Victoria Hutson, 37, was walking southbound on Boyle Road when she was struck by a 2016 Toyota Camry at 11:21 a.m., pollice said.

Hutson was walking on the northbound shoulder of Boyle Road when she was struck by a black four-door sedan that fled northbound on Boyle Road, police said.

Hutson, of Selden, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced
dead, police said.
