Man Charged In Ronkonkoma Area Burglary Spree: Police

Cash or a cash register were stolen from 11 businesses since Sept. 2, Suffolk police say.

RONKONKOMA, NY — A man has been arrested in connection with the burglaries of 11 businesses throughout Centereach, Farmingville, and Ronkonkoma since earlier this month, Suffolk police said.

Michael Mancuso, 44, of Ronkonkoma, broke into Deli Pupuseria Salvadoreña on Dawn Drive in Centereach, and swiped a cash register and fled on Wednesday, but officers arrested him a short time later, according to police.

Following an investigation by 6th Squad detectives, it was determined Mancuso burglarized 10 other businesses during which he stole a cash register or cash from Aladdin Indian Restaurant on Middle Country Road in Centereach on Sept. 24, and Salon La Couture, G&S Spa, 7-Eleven, New Exceptional Nails, and Kira Sushi in Ronkonkoma on Sept. 17, police said.

He also stole from Kristi’s Deli and Paisanos Pizza & Catering on Sept. 11, Taco El Primo on Sept. 6, and Los Jarritos Deli on Horseblock Road in Farmingville on Sept. 2, according to police.

Mancuso, 44, of Ronkonkoma, was charged with 11 counts of third-degree burglary 3rd and one count of petit larceny.

He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday, and was released on $1 bail, according to online court records. In another burglary case stemming from 2022, Mancuso was remanded without bail on Friday.
