Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With SUV On Long Island Sunday Afternoon: Police
She was pronounced dead at a local hospital, Suffolk police say.
LONG ISLAND, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with an SUV in Suffolk County on Sunday afternoon, police said.
The crash unfolded as 38-year-old Patchogue man was driving a 2018 Ford Explorer southbound on Blue Point Road when he tried to make a left turn onto Pinedale Avenue, colliding with a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja being driven northbound on Blue Point Road in Farmingville at 1:17 p.m., according to police.
The operator of the Kawasaki, Brenda Ingraham, 28, of Farmingville, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said, adding that the driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

There were no other injuries reported, and both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, police said.
