Pedestrian Struck By SUV, Critically Injured On Long Island: Police
The man was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, Suffolk police say.
LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — A pedestrian was struck by an SUV and critically injured in Lake Ronkonkoma Monday night, Suffolk police said.
The 46-year-old man from Lake Ronkonkoma was walking southbound on Hawkins Avenue when he was struck by a
southbound 2016 Subaru Outback at around 7:45 p.m., and he was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment, according to police.
The driver of the Outback, a 94-year-old man from Holtsville, was not injured, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
