Pedestrian Who Died After Being Struck By Vehicle In Suffolk Identified: Police
The 71-year-old was struck on Horseblock Road on Sept. 10, Suffolk police say.
SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — A 71-year-old man has been identified as the person who did after a strike from a vehicle in Farmingville last week, Suffolk police said.
Luis Canales of Farmingville was struck by a 2020 Toyota driven by a 48-year-old Medford woman on Horseblock Road, just west of North Ocean Avenue, at around 4 p.m. on Sept. 10, according to police.
Canales was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition where he later died, police said.

The woman was not hurt, police said, adding that her Toyota was impounded for a safety check.
Detectives from the 6th Squad in Selden are investigating, police said.
