Plane Diverted Back to MacArthur Airport After Fumes Fill Cabin
One person vomited due to the fumes while the plane was still airborne. Five people were taken to the hospital.

RONKONKOMA, NY – Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment of "minor nausea symptoms," after fumes filled the cabin of a Frontier Airlines plane that had taken off from Long Island MacArthur Airport Thursday morning, Suffolk Police said.
Flight 1851, 213 passengers and seven crew members on board, took off at 11:53 a.m. destined for Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. At 12:09 p.m., while flying at 22,000 feet, the plane was diverted back to MacArthur, according to information on the tracking site FlightAware.
One person vomited due to fumes while the plane was still airborne, police said. After the plane landed at 12:27 p.m., five people were taken to local hospitals.

There are no other Frontier Airlines flights from MacArthur to Myrtle Beach Thursday so passengers will need to reschedule their flights, police said.
