Porch Pirate Swipes $700 iPhone From Ronkonkoma Doorstep: Police
Officers from the Investigative Unit from the 4th Precinct in Smithtown are probing the incident, Suffolk police say.
RONKONKOMA, NY — Suffolk police say detectives are looking for information about a porch pirate who swiped a $700 iPhone from a doorstep in Ronkonkoma earlier this month.
Officers from the Investigative Unit from the 4th Precinct in Smithtown officers are seeking the public’s help in finding the man who swiped the iPhone, which was delivered by FedEx, from a porch on Eastview Road, on May 10 at 11:44 a.m., according to police.
In an image from security video, the man can be seen wearing a red sweatsuit with a hood, a face mask, and black sneakers.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
