Sachem North Girls Winter Track: Sachem North jumpers led the Arrows at tonight’s League 1-2 Zeitler Relay Meet at Suffolk West.  Sachem placed first in both high jump and long jump relays and took second in triple jump relays.  Kristie Michta led all League 1 high jumpers with a 5’ 2” jump.  Gabriella Czerw (4’ 10”) was Kristie’s relay partner.  Sunja Joseph led the horizontal jumpers as she paired with Corri Moran to win long jump.  Melissa Michels and Nikki Fogarty took second in triple jump.

Sachem did well on the track with a second in the shuttle hurdle relay (Nikki Fogarty, Andrea Hegarty and Siobhan O’Gorman in 30.22 seconds.  Sachem also placed third in the 2x1500 m. racewalk relay (Katie Michta and Patricia Romano), in the DMR (Heather Monaghan, Stephanie Traina, Jenn Weiss and Erin Schreck) and in the SMR (Gabriella Czerw, Melissa Michels, Carly Swinford and Kelly Lavan).

Sachem competes at the Stanner Games at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York City on Saturday.
