Police searched a sump as they investigate the disappearance of a Centereach woman. Two adults boarded a Sachem school bus. And a Holbrook woman pleaded guilty to having sex with a teenage student.

1. Patch reports that police searched a sump in connection with missing Centereach woman, 38-year-old Melissa Molinari. The married mother of four has not been seen for two weeks. (Patch)
2. Peggy Spellman Hoey has the story on how two adults boarded a Sachem school bus on Wednesday morning. The unknown male and female got onto a Sachem North High School bus around 6:30 a.m. in Holbrook. (Patch)
3. Veronica Pezdan, a 28-year-old former Shoreham-Wading River High School teacher, pleaded guilty to having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old male student. The Holbrook resident was a part-time mathematics teacher at the school, charged with third-degree rape. (Dan's Papers)
4. Peggy Spellman Hoey has an update on injured Suffolk police officer Tim Thrane. On Thursday, he was released early from St. Charles Rehabilitation in Port Jefferson in time for Christmas. He's been recovering from critical injuries he sustained in a crash with an alleged drunk driver in November. (Patch)
