  1. A man was forced at knifepoint to drive to two ATM locations to withdraw money and was then slashed in the face. An unknown assailant entered a 30-year-old Centereach man's car in the parking lot of OK Petroleum on Middle Country Road in Centereach on Dec. 12 and robbed him. (Patch)
  2. The Town of Brookhaven completed a 22-road, $1 million paving project in Farmingville that replaced damaged concrete curbing and 80 aprons. The town wants to create safer driving, bicycling and walking in the area. (Greater Long Island)
  3. A Blue Point Brewing Co. Brewpub has opened in MacArthur Airport, replacing Maggie O'Shea's. The pub serves six Blue Point beer on tap and snacks and burgers. (Subscription: Newsday)
