🌱 Sachem Daily: Bayport Man Threatened Gay Pride + New Airline

A new airline is coming to MacArthur Airport, and it will connect LI with two new cities. A Bayport man was arraigned today on charges of threatening organizers of LGBGTQ events and the NYC pride parade.

1. Patch has the details on the new airline coming to MacArthur Airport. Breeze Airways will begin flights to Norfolk, Virginia and Charleston, South Carolina in February. (Patch)
2. Ruth's Chris Steak House is opening two new locations on Long Island, one nearby at the Lake Grove mall. The other will be in Melville. The two will join an existing Garden City restaurant. (Subscription: Newsday)
3. A pedestrian was hit and injured in Selden on Sunday on Middle Country Road. Linda Evangelista, 67, of Selden, was crossing on the crosswalk. (smithtownmatters.com)
4. ABC 7 explains that a Bayport man was indicted Monday for threatening LGBTQ+ organizations and events. Robert Fehring, 74, allegedly sent letters threatening violence to multiple people. The FBI found weapons and ammunition at his home. (ABC 7 News )
5. Patch reports that the name of the woman killed in a November fire in Patchogue has been released. Susanna Belgiorno, 59, was the victim of the Rider Avenue apartment fire. (Patch)
