Sachem HS East Students Raise $1.7K For Michael J. Fox 's Parkinson's Foundation
At "Pancakes for Parkinson's" pancakes were sold to students and staffers for $1 apiece.
FARMINGVILLE, NY — The Sachem High School East volunteer club raised $1,721 last week by selling pancakes for the Michale J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Disease research, according to a news release from the Sachem Central School District.
At its annual "Pancakes for Parkinson’s," students and staff members could buy pancakes for $1 apiece on Thursday.
Over the past 10 years, the club has raised a total of $12,000 to support Fox's foundation.

The foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's by focusing on research and supporting the development of improved therapies for people living with the disease.
