Sachem Layoffs Still Could Happen Depending On State Aid: Report
The district said until the state releases final state aid numbers, "nothing," including layoffs is "definitive," News 12 reported.

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Layoffs in Sachem Central School District are still a possibility, depending on the state's final state aid, News 12 reported.
District officials said that "until the state has released their final state aid, nothing, including the number of potential layoffs is definitive at this time," the outlet reported.
Early in the budget season, about 70 positions were on the chopping block, but the district said Tuesday that there were union concessions and reserves could be used, though the district likely still faces a $3.7 million deficit, according to the outlet.
