Sachem North Arrowettes Win Gold At National Dance Championship

LAKE RONKONKOMA, NY — Sachem North High School's Varsity Arrowettes earned the gold medal and national title in the highly competitive Small Varsity Pom division, at the National Dance Alliance's National Championship in Orlando, FL, school district officials said.
This achievement marks the program’s 17th national championship in the last 14 years and its first title since 2022.
The Arrowettes emerged champions, outperforming 42 elite teams from across the country in the three-day competition with their performance showcasing their dedication, skill, and teamwork, setting them apart on the national stage, according to school district

In a news release, Head Coach Katie Desmond said she is "proud" of the group, who have worked "extremely hard all season and danced their best against the top teams in the country."

The team’s success is "testament to the hard work and perseverance of the athletes, the guidance of their coaches and the unwavering support from the Sachem community," school district officials said.
