Shake Shack Proposed For Selden

SELDEN, NY — A Shake Shack location has been proposed for the Westfield Center in Selden, according to an application filed with the Town of Brookhaven.

Valentin Staller, vice-president of Staller Associates Realty in Inc. in Islandia, presented a plan for a new location at the corner of Blue Point Road and Middle Country Road during a meeting of the Selden Civic Association in September, according to a letter from the association's leadership that is filed with the application.

In the letter to Staller, the civic association calls the plans "comprehensive" and "well-received," as well as adds that the "community was pleased with all the answers you provided to their questions."

"We look forward to this project and welcome Shake Shack to our community. If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us," the letter signed by the association's president, Linda Miller, and vice president, Stephanie Larkin, states.

A public hearing is scheduled for Thursday at Town Hall.
