  1. Patch checks out the damage from Saturday's sudden wind storm. Part of a Chipotle store in Shirley was destroyed and trees were down across Suffolk County after tornado warnings. (Patch)
  2. Patricia Blair from East Islip launched a hospital-staff feeding effort during the pandemic, and then this July she founded the Suffolk County Women’s Alliance to End Food Insecurity, a not-for-profit in Blue Point that currently has about 40 members. On Saturday the group, along with Northwell Health and Lessing's Hospitality Group, donated food to feed 500 LI families. (Greater Long Island)
  3. Ana Borruto tells us that Sayville Cinemas will reopen after a 20-month-long closure.
    The independent movie theater first show will be a 1 p.m. screening of the new film, “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”
