Suspect Swiped MacBook Pro From Centereach Best Buy: Police

She took the device on Aug. 31 at around 11:30 a.m., then bolted in a black Mercedes sedan, police say.

CENTEREACH, NY — Suffolk police are looking for a suspect they say made off with a MacBook Pro from Best Buy in Centereach back in August.

A woman took the device from the store's Pond Path location on Aug. 31 at around 11:30 a.m., and she bolted in a black Mercedes sedan, police said.

Police have released images taken from security video, including one showing the woman wearing a red shirt, light-colored pants, and white sandals, as well as a black sedan.

The crime has been classified grand larceny.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
