Suspect Used Stolen Credit Card On Long Island: Police

The card was stolen from a car earlier in the day, Suffolk police say.

HOLTSVILLE, NY — Detectives are asking the public’s help in finding a suspect man who used a stolen credit card at a Holtsville store last year, Suffolk police said Tuesday.

A credit card was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on Casa Loop in Holtsville on Sept. 22, 2023, at around 3 a.m., police said, adding that a short time later, a man used the credit card to purchase a gift card for around $200 at a 7-Eleven on Waverly Avenue in Holtsville.

The crime has been classified grand larceny.
