"For over 15 years, I have watched my son beam over his job. If you ask him what he does, he doesn’t just say,” I teach high school history.” Instead he simply replies he gets to help his students be the best versions of themselves. Jonathan gives his all to his students in ways I’ve never known a teacher can do. When he asks you how you are- he truly cares. The amount of empathy care and devotion “Mr C” has for his kids as he calls them is inspiring. Countless students have been helped by his extra care. Over 3000 students and many more parents have seen the impact Jonathan has had on his beloved Sachem Community. His mantra is simple, “be yourself and I will love you.” Bringing his “you matter” mantra to a generation who needs the reminder, Jonathan has retrained his kids to be confident and love themselves. For a man who puts everyone in his life first- today we pay him back with a big thank you. “Mr. C, YOU matter too!” We love you!!!!!! Mom, your kids, and the entire sachem community thanks you for always being the one that we look to for guidance, advice, and love."
