Bats At Nokomis?
We broke a story about an 8-year-old girl at Nokomis Elementary School who claims she was bitten by a bat while coming out of the stall of the girls bathroom. Jessica Wetherell is currently undergoing treatment for potential rabies at Stony Brook University Medical Center, and the school says it is taking steps to investigate the situation.
Coach Wojo: 'We'll Get Right Back At It'
After a frustrating 20-0 loss at home to Northport, Sachem East Varsity Head Coach Mark Wojciechowski said his team would regroup and come out swinging again. The attitude seems to have paid off, as the East Flaming Arrows picked up its first win of the season on Friday night: a 20-13 victory of Half Hollow Hills East.
Bishop: I Should Get Paid Because The Constitution Says So
After the federal government shut down on Oct. 1, many people wondered why it was that members of Congress were still getting a paycheck while other federal employees have been laid off.
